Description:

Tom Ripley, an American con man skilled at forgery, is disrupted when he loses a valuable painting to Jonathan Zimmerman, a picture framer, at a Hamburg auction. Soon after, Ripley meets Raoul Minot, a dangerous gangster who offers him a perilous job: murder a rival. Seeing a chance for revenge against Zimmerman for the earlier incident, Ripley manipulates both the desperate and ill Zimmerman into becoming his accomplices, transforming a personal grudge into a disturbing partnership.
