Taking Sides (2002)

Wilhelm Furtwangler was a celebrated conductor in the 1930s, considered one of the best, alongside Toscanini. Following World War II, he was investigated by the Allied forces as part of their efforts to remove Nazi influence. In post-war Berlin, as the Allies establish control over Germany, an American major is tasked with investigating Furtwangler and prosecuting him. Major Steve Arnold, a determined and uncompromising officer, begins to uncover a complex world he doesn't understand.
