Sowizdrzał świętokrzyski (1980)

The arrival of a new priest, Father Giemza, in the village of Ociesęki causes a stir. On his way to his new home, he stops at the modest house of Jan Kolasa, a kind villager who offers him food. Unbeknownst to Giemza, Kolasa later enters the rectory while disguised as a priest. The next day, Kolasa delivers a sermon that surprises and moves the villagers, announcing the church will redistribute its land to those in need. This unexpected announcement creates excitement and disagreement. The situation reveals the complexities of faith, power, and community dynamics as Giemza and Kolasa navigate their roles in this changing landscape, revealing the humanity beneath their religious duties.
