Slow Attack (1980)

This drama tells the story of Nik, a man trying to escape his criminal history while dealing with the consequences of past relationships. He found a love for writing in prison and wants to become a published author. He moves in with his pen pal, who acts as a supportive friend, but their living situation is complicated by suspicion. Nik feels alienated by the literary world as he works on a novel about a kidnapping. When a former prison friend is shot during an escape attempt and asks for Nik's help, Nik is forced to confront his past and choose between his writing and loyalty.
