Poor Chasers (1980)

Four close college friends explore love and ambition as they navigate their lives. Shen Jung and Li Lun-mei's strong friendship changes when they meet Cheng-hsiung and Fang Juei at tennis. Li Lun-mei initially attracts Fang Juei, but Fang Juei becomes drawn to the talented Cheng-hsiung after a concert. The situation becomes complicated when Cheng-hsiung develops feelings for Shen Jung, their quiet and dependable friend. As they learn about love, passion, and commitment, the friends face challenges stemming from their changing emotions and desires. The film examines trust, vulnerability, and self-discovery as these students find their way through romantic relationships.
