Description:

This sports drama tells the story of Eric Brogar, an East German athlete who wins a gold medal in the pentathlon and then escapes to the West. His escape is helped by an American athlete, but his closest friends suffer terrible consequences at the hands of his former coach, Heinrich Mueller. In Los Angeles, Eric trains hard to compete again in the Olympics. But when Mueller appears in America, he endangers Eric's chances and his life, forcing Eric to fight back against the man who once controlled his future. The film is a powerful story about freedom, loyalty, and determination, showing one man's strength as he faces his past and strives for a brighter future.
