Parable of the Blind (1980)

This student film from UCLA Animation Workshop uses paper-cut animation to tell a detailed story inspired by medieval paintings. The film follows a group of blind people who accidentally fall into a tar pit and end up in a jury room at the International Festival of Animation. Using strong visuals and traditional art methods, the short film explores ideas about sight, how we see things, and making judgments. The UCLA Film & Television Archive has preserved it for future audiences and scholars.
