Old Man Made in Spain (1969)

In the quiet Aragonese Pyrenees, a lonely shepherd watches his three daughters leave for Madrid hoping for a better life. Years later, Cándida, Visi, and Nieves all marry and start families, slowly growing apart from their father. Cándida writes to Marcelino, asking him to come to Madrid and help with her large family. Unaware of the difficulties ahead, Marcelino arrives in the busy city and finds it very different from his peaceful home. At the same time, his daughters' lives reveal hidden complexities, showing a sad distance and yearning between them and their father.
