Description:
Shinpei Kikuchi's vibrant, sometimes unsettling music underscores a visually disorienting presentation of reproduced images from beach magazines and posters featuring bikini models. The artist, Tanaami, created these works by making positive and negative prints of these images onto transparent sheets, layering and distorting them to generate a moiré effect. Tanaami described his vision as a paradise existing only within the realm of reproduction.
