Description:
Summer of Goliath blends documentary and fiction to explore life in the rural Mexican town of Huilotepec. Teresa struggles with the belief that her husband has abandoned her for another woman. Her son, Gabino, a soldier, patrols lonely roads, dreaming of better equipment with his partner Alberto to exert control over those who pass. The lives of three brothers, Amalio, Nico, and Oscar, are revealed through interviews and staged scenes. Their father's abandonment has left their mother struggling to provide for them. Oscar, in particular, has earned the name Goliath following the unexplained death of his girlfriend.
