Description:
Fleeing the war in Aleppo, Meryem is the sole survivor of a refugee boat sinking off the coast of Kos, losing her entire family. Ibrahim, a retiring coast guard chief, rescues her. He retires, and they marry, settling in Bozdoğan. Haunted by the tragedy, Meryem feels compelled to return to the sea and the shore where she lost her family, a persistent feeling that she belongs there.
