Lemming (2013)

In Yukichi Matsumoto's 2013 adaptation of Shuji Terayama's "Lemmings," two cooks share a room. One converses with his mother's head, which resides beneath their tatami mats. Across the dividing wall lives a woman tending to her ill husband. As walls are torn down—revealing movie studios, hospitals, and prisons—the boundaries between the boarding house and the city are destroyed.
