Description:
Released shortly after the attack on Pearl Harbor, this 63-minute film from 20th Century-Fox explores suspicions of Japanese espionage in Los Angeles before the war. Police officer Preston Foster believes something illicit is happening within the city's Japanese community, but faces disbelief from everyone except reporter Brenda Joyce. After the spies frame Foster for murder, Joyce investigates on her own. The agents are apprehended just as they are about to carry out their plans. The film's strong implication that most Japanese-Americans were secretly loyal to Japan has led to it being rarely screened.
