Description:
American pilot Christopher Reynolds is shot down over German-occupied Holland and finds refuge with a Dutch family. He pretends to be the husband of their daughter, Anita Wolverman, to persuade the German officer living with them, Major Zellfritz, to grant Anita's divorce. Following the court hearing, Anita takes a job managing a home for retired women and, encouraged by Reynolds, attempts to extract military information from the German officer. When Anita’s estranged husband escapes from an asylum, Reynolds is blamed for his actions. With the help of the elderly women and Anita, who agrees to marry him, Reynolds escapes to England aboard a stolen German airplane.
