Description:

This film adapts events from the final three "Little House" books and "The First Four Years." Laura Ingalls lives on the prairie near De Smet, South Dakota, where she meets Almanzo Wilder, the man she will later marry. Prairie life presents many hardships, and after a devastating hail storm destroys their crops, the Wilders suffer the loss of their baby son, their home burns down, and a diphtheria outbreak strikes. Faced with these tragedies, they are forced to make difficult decisions about their future.
