Monkey Bird (2023)

Seventeen-year-old Isabel spends the final days of summer camping with her sister Camila, twenty-seven, and brother-in-law Miguel, twenty-nine. Shortly before the trip ends, Isabel finds love with Victoria, also eighteen. This blossoming romance is shattered after a traumatic night when Miguel abuses Isabel, destroying the sense of safety she had. Isabel is left grappling with difficult questions, feelings of guilt, and intense internal struggles. She ultimately chooses self-destruction to protect her sister.
