Tanyaradzwa (2007)

Tanyaradzwa is a bright and sociable young woman from a privileged, supportive family. Her seemingly perfect life unravels one dinner when a nine-month secret is exposed with the birth of a baby boy. Her parents, feeling betrayed, confront each other with past issues. Overwhelmed by guilt, Tanya leaves home to find the baby's father, Marlon, a carefree playboy. She finds an unlikely ally in Ajira, Marlon's streetwise cousin, who advises her to prioritize survival while staying true to herself. The film explores themes of family, friendship, loyalty, and morality as this young, desperate mother navigates a complex journey.
