The Monkey King (2022)

After being imprisoned under Wuzhi Mountain for 400 years, Sun Wukong is rescued by Ah Yi. Her parents were killed by the Dragon Prince, and she asks Sun Wukong to help her report the injustice at Heaven. Learning of Sun Wukong’s escape from the mountain, the Dragon Prince plots revenge for the destruction of his palace in the East China Sea, employing Sun Wukong's brother, the Demon King, to assassinate him. Despite a magical barrier, the Demon King fails, but manages to bring Ah Yi back with him. To protect her, Sun Wukong attacks the Dragon Palace. A battle ensues between Sun Wukong and the Dragon Prince, extending from the sea to Nantianmen. Ultimately, Sun Wukong is persuaded by Ah Yi to return to Wuzhi Mountain to resume his training, awaiting his destined encounter.
