Firing Squad (2003)

In December 1941, the Nazis executed four and a half thousand people in Yalta, the majority of whom were Jewish. The Soviet authorities initially avoided burying the victims, and even the memorial obelisk was erected post-war with funds from the victims' families. In July 1994, Mikhail Degtyar discovered a disturbing scene at the execution site near the Yalta International Hotel: scattered skulls, bones, and personal documents from those killed 53 years prior. Nine years later, Mikhail Degtyar returns to the Yalta execution site. What has changed in the intervening years? This is the film "Execution."
