Layer (2022)

Evgeny Sergeevich, a powerful figure, tasks Slava and Zhenya with selling a shipment of smuggled solar stone. Slava and Zhenya, childhood friends who grew up working with amber, once had the potential for wealth in the 1990s, but a single event irrevocably altered their path. Now, with a large delivery from Evgeny Sergeevich, Zhenya formulates a plan to rapidly acquire wealth and achieve his lifelong ambitions. The film explores how far Zhenya will go to reach his goal, and whether their friendship can withstand the allure of significant money.
