Description:
Following her mother's death, five-year-old orphan Heidi is taken by her aunt to live with her reclusive grandfather, Alp, in the Swiss Alps. Heidi’s sunny disposition gradually brings joy back into Alp’s solitary life. She befriends Peter, a young goatherd, and they spend two idyllic years together in the mountains. However, Heidi's aunt sends her to Frankfurt to live with Consul Sesemann, where she is to receive a formal education. Initially struggling to adapt, Heidi eventually finds friendship with Clara, the consul’s paralyzed daughter, though she frequently clashes with the strict governess, Miss Rottingmeier, who struggles to control Heidi’s free spirit. Ultimately, Heidi’s presence transforms the Sesemann household and even helps Clara regain her health.
