Love Endures (2015)

Jovi Theng, a Malaysian singer/composer, directs the touching drama *Love Endures*, a story about a father's love. Jiang Shun (Liu Kai Chi), who has a mental disability, lives a peaceful life running a coffee shop with his younger brother (Jovi Theng). Their lives are upended when Jiang Shun takes in an abandoned baby and decides to raise her. His adopted daughter Cong Ming (Emily Kong) matures into a strong and intelligent young woman determined to protect him. Cong Ming develops feelings for a new student named Oscar, but her mother opposes the relationship due to family issues. Hurt by this, Cong Ming leaves home in search of belonging. Liu Kai Chi won his First Best Actor Award for his performance.
