Vowels & Consonants (2005)

This film is the result of a collaboration, utilizing six projectors based on Lynn Loo's film work and Guy Sherwin's bdpq printer installation. The images are created by printing letters directly onto 16mm film. As these letters pass through the projectors, their shapes generate sounds through the optical sound heads. These sounds sometimes echo the sounds of the letters themselves. The piece is often performed live with musicians.
