Description:
Steve McQueen's latest work, *Sunshine State*, is a two-screen video installation. Viewers see the work from both sides of two adjacent screens. It begins with footage of a sun on fire and then explores images from *The Jazz Singer* (1927), a landmark film as the first "talkie" to feature synchronized dialogue. This is McQueen's first new artwork since his Tate Britain commission in 2019.
