Description:
Filmed throughout the rebuilt city, including downtown streets, neighborhoods, the University of Tokyo campus, and vibrant dance halls, *The Angry Street* follows Sudo (Hara Yasumi) and Mori (Uno Jukichi), two university students who make money by charming wealthy women in dance clubs and swindling them out of cash. Mori is the mastermind, while Sudo is the smooth dancer who attracts the women. As Sudo becomes involved with three different girls, he's pulled into the world of gangsters, a lifestyle he struggles to escape despite being responsible for his mother, grandmother, and sister, Masako (Wakayama Setsuko). In this world of trouble, Masako provides strength and moral guidance, ultimately helping Mori find a better path.
