Description:

*Man of Iron* follows a similar trajectory to *Boxer From Shantung*, charting the ascent and downfall of a minor gangster in Shanghai. The film reunites the original directors and some of the cast, presenting a slightly smaller-scale story set twenty years after the events of the first film, in the same part of Shanghai. While the opening narration references the events and tragic ending of *Boxer*, the two films are otherwise unrelated in terms of plot and characters.
