Set during Brazil's return to democracy after a long dictatorship, "Women: Another Story" explores women's involvement in Brazilian politics. The film features interviews with 23 women who were newly elected to the Constituent Assembly and successfully advocated for some of their proposals to be included in the new Brazilian Constitution. It includes appearances by suffragist Carmen Portilho, highlighting the historical fight for women's right to vote, and Jandira Feghali and Benedita da Silva, who would later become major political figures in Brazil.
