Exhausted after a long day, young Dr. Seder anticipates a quick visit to a remote forest house before heading home. However, the elderly woman caring for her husband there complicates his plans. Lonely and drawn to his company, she resists letting him leave. Dr. Seder himself is puzzled by his own desire to stay, finding himself unexpectedly relaxing in her home. But the woman's behavior becomes increasingly erratic, turning the already unsettling situation disturbing. Even the comforting pumpkin soup begins to taste strange.
