Description:
Each year, a shockingly high number of Black women in the U.S. experience preventable deaths related to childbirth. Shamony Gibson and Amber Rose Isaac were young mothers with promising futures, but their deaths from complications during pregnancy and delivery could have been avoided. Now, their partners and families are working to raise awareness about this serious issue, which has been largely overlooked.
