Forgiveness Sunday (2007)

Maxim introduces his parents to Nastya, the woman he loves, and they are planning their wedding. They also discover Nastya is pregnant, a news Maxim welcomes with joy. Their happiness seems complete… until Maxim’s father feels a nagging unease and is drawn back to his past. Coincidentally, Nastya is from Snegov, a town where he had an affair years ago. Concerned for his son, and with a growing sense of dread, he travels to Snegov. There, Nastya's mother, Vera, confirms his fears: Nastya is his daughter, meaning Maxim and Nastya are siblings. The film explores the complex emotions of love, duty, and fate as they impact the characters.
