Flowers on the Water (2008)

Two German poets, children of immigrants, seek refuge in a community along the Río de la Plata. Hanna struggles to find meaning in a world she perceives as lacking values and connection. Her husband, Klaus, finds it difficult to understand her, and their marriage faces serious challenges. In a local pub, they encounter a young poet named Heinz, who recites the works of Rilke, Hölderlin, and Baudelaire. Hanna sees in him a chance to escape her troubled life and longs to follow him. This marks a turning point, as their marriage becomes increasingly strained by Hanna's aspirations and Klaus's practical approach. It's a story about love, obsession, and the power of poetry.
