Songs of a Caretaker (2023)

Hugo, a quiet caretaker in a modular housing complex, finds comfort and acceptance among the residents, often sharing his music throughout the building. His peaceful life is disrupted by unsettling changes to his home. Johanna, living in a bus nearby, also struggles with daily experiences of racism and sexism. The two connect over their shared feeling of alienation and a mutual passion for music. For Hugo, the world around him seems to be falling apart – with strange occurrences like birds rejecting flight and a dollhouse seemingly coming to life. Meanwhile, a very real crisis emerges that challenges Hugo and Johanna's growing friendship.
