Sashka. A Soldier’s Diary (2021)

A war veteran discovers his old diary and is transported back to the front lines. He remembers being a young soldier named Sashka when he captured a German boy amidst the chaos of war. Though the enemy faces imminent death, a fellow soldier assures Sashka that Russian prisoners won't be executed. Later, at headquarters, after the loss of a friend, the battalion commander orders the boy's execution. Sashka is forced to make a life-altering decision.
