Description:

Sergeant Sullivan assembles a team of Italian-Americans disguised as Italian soldiers to infiltrate a North African camp controlled by the Italians. After a violent surprise attack, the team discovers a woman living at the camp. Sullivan's commandos must hold the camp and its weapons until an American battalion arrives, all while maintaining their disguise and often entertaining the enemy. Lieutenant Valli, a young and rigid officer, frequently clashes with Sullivan, who openly questions Valli’s competence. The unnecessary death of an eccentric entomologist escalates tensions, leading to disastrous consequences.
