La fille et le garçon (2023)

Malina, a young Iranian immigrant, seeks answers from Jean about her boyfriend Denis, who works on Jean's apartment and seems to linger after hours, often seen by Jean's wife, Paula. As Jean and Paula get to know Denis and Malina, their relationship evolves from a situation involving prostitution to genuine friendship, then to unspoken desires and deeper affection, ultimately blossoming into love and a vision of family – a unconventional one that includes wanting a child. Overcoming societal constraints, this group builds a foundation for a new kind of love characterized by freedom, both physical and intellectual.
