Chen Zhen Legend (2018)

In early 1930s Shanghai, a global hub of power, Japanese Consul General Ryukawa Ida aims to establish a Japanese-controlled economic zone and kidnaps Mayor Luo Shuzhang. Qin Fang, a young man from the 21st century, accidentally travels back in time and joins the Jingwu Sect as an apprentice to Chen Zhen. To weaken Chinese resistance, Ida sends Matsumoto Kosuke to challenge various martial arts schools, defeating them all. The Jingwu Sect is next in line. Ida then takes Luo Shuzhang hostage, forcing Chen Zhen to accept a challenge from Matsumoto.
