Up Against a Star (2001)

This pseudo-documentary, created by Todd Verow and his team, details Verow's filmmaking techniques – techniques that have made him a respected figure in independent cinema, according to many mainstream media outlets. Verow's production crew, including Verow himself, producer/writer James Derek Dwyer, and actors Philly, Brenda Velez, Eric Sapp, Devery Doleman, and Bill Dwyer, has produced a large volume of work. These films have been screened internationally at festivals, all while maintaining an intimate, small-scale approach to filmmaking.
