Description:

This film presents two parts. The first part adapts six stories from Cesare Pavese’s "Dialogues with Leucò," drawing inspiration from classical mythology. The second part is based on Pavese’s novel "The Moon and the Bonfires." It follows "The Bastard," an emigrant returning to his village in the Langhe region of northern Italy after World War II, only to discover that almost everyone he knew is gone and that the war has irrevocably altered the bonds between people.
