Description:
Nadia Nadim's journey begins after her father's death at the hands of the Taliban in 2000. She and her four sisters, along with their mother, fled Kabul following the violence. Now, the Taliban have reasserted control. Football became Nadia's lifeline; she rose to prominence as a striker for the Danish national team and later for Paris-Saint-Germain. Despite achieving football stardom, Nadia feels compelled to return to Afghanistan to uncover the truth about her father. However, the country is now plagued by terrorism as the Taliban and ISIS create daily chaos. Forced to abandon her trip, Nadia confronts another devastating loss. Yet, she remains determined, with plans to become a reconstructive surgeon and help rebuild her homeland.
