Description:
In 1972, T-Rex, the influential English glam-rock band, was experiencing immense popularity. They had already achieved three of their eventual ten consecutive Top 10 hits. To commemorate this success, Bolan and T-Rex performed two sold-out concerts at London's Wembley Empire Pool, filmed by Ringo Starr, the former Beatles drummer. The resulting concert film, BORN TO BOOGIE, is the only existing recording of a complete T-Rex performance. It features the two live shows (with guest appearances by Ringo Starr and Elton John on two songs), interspersed with an acoustic set filmed at John Lennon's home, lighthearted backstage moments with Bolan, and unusual scenes involving nuns and dwarves for visual interest.
