Description:
1926. Amidst the Chinese Civil War, Ted Beaubien is captured and forced to watch his girlfriend executed. He escapes and dedicates himself to avenging her death by undertaking a dangerous mission: procuring weapons overseas and smuggling them back. Returning to his hometown, Ted discovers his elderly mother and younger brother George are struggling financially. But he must secure the guns first. In arranging the deal, Ted meets Maud Ryan, a captivating nightclub owner, who introduces him to the dangerous gangsters who will supply the armaments. For a gunrunner, falling in love is a perilous act.
