Mutya (2021)

The film follows Mutya, a reserved transgender woman working as a gardener at a resort near Manila. She cares for the blind mother of Kerel, her boyfriend who is a seafarer working abroad. Their connection is primarily explored through a phone conversation – the reality of which is ambiguous – that triggers the expression of their personal worries and aspirations, visualized in a dreamlike sequence.
