Description:
Zhuang Zhou, an ancient Chinese philosopher, dreams he is a butterfly, questioning the line between reality and imagination – a reflection of a poet's longing for freedom and lasting existence. *The Coming of Tulku* draws inspiration from Buddhist teachings, using the life of Chou Meng-tieh as an example. Starting a bookstand on WuChang Street in 1959, his experiences there ultimately led him to enlightenment, devotion to Buddha, and loyalty to those he cared about. Influenced by Buddhism, his poems combine Zen philosophy with warmth, affection, and thoughtful wisdom, capturing the true meaning of life with both power and subtlety. He closed his bookstand in 1980 due to health problems.
