Long Distance Love (2008)

In Osh, Kyrgyzstan, Alisher and Dildora are deeply in love and quickly marry, soon expecting a child. At 18, their world revolved around romance, but Alisher now faces the difficult reality of supporting his family amidst Osh's struggling economy. Faced with limited options, he feels compelled to leave his new wife and go to Moscow in pursuit of a better life – a path many in his generation take. Though their love remains strong despite the 3,500-mile distance, their relationship is now tested by challenges that go beyond simply being apart.
