Description:
Marcel Keoroglian, a well-known personality in Uruguay for his work in carnival, television, radio, and film, possesses eighteen previously unheard recordings from the 1949 carnival. These recordings were made by José Goglian, an Armenian immigrant who lived in Villa del Cerro in the 1940s, a neighborhood with a diverse immigrant population. Goglian invited local carnival musicians to his apartment to record them using a phonograph. The documentary centers on Marcel's deep connection to the *murga* genre as he writes lyrics for a carnival group preparing for the upcoming festival, while seeking a way to finally release these albums after they waited sixty-eight years to be heard.
