Description:

This documentary film focuses on the ancient Baobab trees, captured by photographer Motohashi Seiichi, director of "Alexei and the Spring" and other works. Filmed in Senegal, West Africa, where urban development is encroaching and the once-revered Baobabs are now being cut down, the film intimately portrays life in the traditional village of Touba Toul. It subtly explores the relationship between people and nature through the everyday experiences of Modou, a 12-year-old boy and the second son in a large family.
