Description:

World-renowned magician David Katz and his team travel to Denver for a charity gala benefiting disabled children, joined by supporters Perry and Della. Assistant Kate Ford announces a new illusion: she will be raised in a glass coffin only to vanish when the coffin opens mid-air, having climbed out beforehand. After a single night with David, Kate becomes pregnant and uses this to blackmail him. This is particularly devastating for David and his wife Judy, who are unable to have children. Kate's demanding personality alienates her from the rest of the group. During the gala's performance, the glass coffin is raised, but when it opens, Kate’s body falls to the ground – she has been strangled.
