Description:
Héctor Rodríguez (1918-1996) was a central figure in Uruguay's popular movement. A textile worker and Communist Party parliamentarian, he was expelled from the party in the 1950s. He was also a journalist, activist, political prisoner, and a driving force behind trade union unity and left-wing politics in Uruguay. His life intertwined with key moments in the country's history after 1930. The film features Héctor's own account, alongside perspectives from textile workers, intellectuals, union members, and politicians, all brought together with a wealth of archival footage and photographs.
