Heaven Touches Brooklyn in July (2002)

For 300 years in Italy and the past century in New York, communities celebrate "The Dance of the Giglio" every summer. One hundred and twenty-five men carry a five-story, five-ton tower and a twelve-piece brass band on their shoulders, dancing it through the streets to lively Italian folk music. This 65-foot-high monument honors Saint Paolino di Nola, a Roman Catholic saint remembered for his sacrifice in 409 A.D.
