Description:
Dr. Arun lives with his brother Madhu, his father Judge Ramkrishan, and mother Kamla in a large house. He decides to dedicate himself to helping those less fortunate and moves to a small town. There, he meets Sumati, a young nurse, and they fall in love. Sumati lives with her mother, Laxmi, who is a single parent. When Kamla begins seeking a wife for Arun, he tells her he loves Sumati. Ramkrishan invites Laxmi for a meeting, which she accepts. Afterward, Arun asks his parents about the outcome and is told to abandon Sumati and marry someone else. They refuse to explain their reasons. The central question becomes: why did his parents reject Sumati's mother, and what transpired during their meeting?
